Richard Levy Gallery is pleased to present a solo exhibition of landscapes by Matthew McConville in the back gallery. Painted in the Hudson River School style, McConville’s Earthworks, refer to contemporary land art. These paintings, steeped with social critique and art historical reference, are cleverly constructed and beautifully rendered.
This exhibition is presented in partnership with LAND/ART, a state wide event that includes over 30 participating organizations. LAND/ART includes exhibitions, site-specific art works, and lectures that explore the relationships between land, art, and community.
