Press Release

Richard Levy Gallery is pleased to present Spectra, an exhibition of abstract paintings and unique prints by Jennifer Lynch. This exhibition includes selections from various bodies of work spanning 13 years.

Spectra comprises otherworldly compositions that examine both the macrocosm and the microcosm.  Lynch’s paintings are inspired by networks found in nature, from the nervous system to crystalline structures. In each piece, the artist reconfigures compositions from previous works while playing with scale to present new perspectives. The artist paints using printing inks as the medium which are applied with stencils, masks and rollers. The titles of her paintings are names of asteroids and Latin names of wildflowers.

Jennifer Lynch is an artist, master printer, and educator based in Santa Fe, NM. She works in various mediums of printmaking, including etching, lithography, woodcut, and monotype. In her own work she uses photopolymer viscosity etching. Recent exhibitions include a group exhibition at the Albuquerque Museum in 2022 and a solo exhibition at the Taos Art Museum in 2019. Her work was recently presented at Intersect Palm Springs in February 2023.
