 Richard Levy Gallery is pleased to present 17 Stones an installation of new paintings of crystals by Jenna Kuiper. This series of 17 small paintings of the same amethyst crystal from different angles is an exploration of perspective and a rumination on the nature of belief. In spending a great deal of time with a single object, each painting becomes a meditation through which Kuiper seeks to infuse the object with power. Jenna Kuiper received her MFA in painting and drawing from the University of New Mexico and teaches painting at NMSU in Las Cruces, NM.e
