Richard Levy Gallery is pleased to present Color Space, an exhibition of paintings and sculptures by Jeff Kellar. Using clay, resin and pigment on canvas and MDF constructions, Kellar creates pieces that challenge the viewer’s beliefs about three-dimensional design and the illusion of space. The sculptor takes a reductive approach depicting the existence of space by emphasizing the quality of its absence.

The show presents a series of wall pieces which are pinned directly to the wall. Also included are small table top works. Kellar states that “the wall work and the boxes reference each other. They refer to space in both real and illusionary form. Object and illusion.”
