Dean Ramos

Suspensions
February 6 – March 6

Press Release

Richard Levy Gallery is pleased to present Suspensions, an installation by  Dean Ramos. This exhibition consists of three limited editions published by Richard Levy Editions. Derived from ultrasound patterns of the human heart, the Suspensions are cut from frosted acrylic sheets that overlap one another. Each layer is hung at varying distances from the wall  by transparent threads and are activated by light and shadow.

In the project room, the gallery presents The Road Series, five gold point drawings  on gessoed panels also by Dean Ramos. These drawings are adapted from photographs depicting various urban and rural settings.

Dean Bienvenido Ramos was educated in Chicago before earning his M.F.A. from the University of New Mexico in 2002. He currently lives and works in Albuquerque.
