Richard Levy Gallery is pleased to present a series of luminous optical paintings by local favorite Charles Fresquez. In this new body of work, Fresquez has mastered the art of of illusion, strategically arranging planes of painted cast acrylic to create flat wall pieces that visually protrude and recess and possess a dynamism that is reminiscent of a Frank Gehry building. 

Charles Fresquez is a graduate of the University of New Mexico. His work is in international collections and can be seen locally at the National Hispanic Cultural Center and in the University of New Mexico Art Collection.
