Richard Levy Gallery is pleased present Sunliners, by internationally renowned artist Ed Ruscha. This exhibition comprises a portfolio of 7 aquatint/etchings that are signed and numbered by Ed Ruschaand released as an edition of 50.

This portfolio was published by Pace Prints and printed on Hahnemuhle paper at Atelier Crommelynek in Paris. Ruscha worked on the plates at Crommelynek’s studio in New York. Plates for the glasses are sugar lift aquatints with varied bites from light to deep creating the most subtle reflections of light. Each depicts one or two glasses centered on an intaglio ground of deep greens, blues, or blacks and were created with different intaglio techniques.

Since the 60’s, Ed Ruscha has earned an enviable reputation within the art world and is associated at the forefront of the pop art movement. His work has been seen in countless exhibitions around the world and been collected by many major museums including London’s Tate Gallery and The New York Museum of Modern Art.
